Located boulevard de Vaugirard, between the fourteenth and fifteenth arrondissement of Paris, Montparnasse station, fourth in terms of rail traffic in the capital, consists in reality of three stations. The Ocean door, the principal, faces the Montparnasse Tower (and to where was built the first station of that name, in the nineteenth century). It is reached by the Avenue du Maine, or by the subway. Pasteur station is south of the docks, while Vaugirard station to the south-west avenue Pasteur, only serves some suburban lines. Historic sights and landmarks

Renovated in the 60s as part of a real estate project also including the Montparnasse Tower, Montparnasse railway station has been modernized in the 90s, is adorning a hanging garden, accessible from the station by a lift.
