A short distance from the 15th district of Paris, Trocadero Square is a major Capital gathering places, not only because of its central location but also thanks to the presence or proximity Parisian monuments such as headlight or the Eiffel tower Palais de Chaillot. Trocadero name refers to a fort taken by the French army in the Spanish revolutionaries in 1823, following a military parade to rebuild the battle before King Charles X. A strong pasteboard had been built on the Chaillot hill for the occasion, and the army was part of the nearby Champ de Mars to mimic the conquest. Welcoming today the Palais de Chaillot, Trocadéro Place kept a military connotation, through the Monument to the glory of the French army sculptor Landowski, while the Trocadero Esplanade offers a magnificent view of the Eiffel Tower .

To see the Trocadero

Built for the World Expo 1937 in place of the former palace of the Trocadero, the Palais de Chaillot, on the hill of the same name, has retained the previous building structure with stained glass windows and two wings that surround the Trocadero gardens, overlooking the Eiffel tower and Champ de Mars and with sculptures and fountains. Central place of cultural life in Paris, the Palais de Chaillot now houses museums, theater and architecture schools. It includes the Museum of Man, the heir of the old Trocadero Museum of Ethnology and possessing, among other prehistoric collections, but also the Maritime Museum and the City of Architecture and Heritage, exposing casts, models and drawings of centuries of French architecture. Finally, the Trocadero is also characterized by its aquarium dug under the hill, with an underground circuit extended visits and hundreds of aquatic species.

How to get from the hotel to the Trocadero Baldi

Trocadero square is served by an eponymous metro station, Trocadéro, crossed by lines 6 and 9. Hotel Baldi, take the metro to Cambronne station, located a few meters from the hotel, and take line 6 direction Charles de Gaulle-Etoile to Trocadero (twenty minute trip).
